I'm Austin, better known as BShadow24V. I'm the proud owner of a 2000 Dodge 2500 Cummins with a 5.9L 24 Valve engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, affectionately named "Shadow". This truck represents years of hard work, setbacks, perseverance, and the determination to never give up.
My journey hasn't been easy. I was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome, ADHD, and OCD. Much of my childhood was spent in and out of hospitals for medication changes, while I struggled to fit in and feel "normal." School was a challenge, social situations were often difficult, and growing up, many people viewed me differently because of my disabilities. Despite my intention to help others, I often felt misunderstood and faced a reputation I never deserved.
I was told at a young age that I would never drive, live independently, or succeed on my own. But I refused to let those limitations define my future.
Today, I'm proud to be a Class 1 B-train driver for a major oil field company in Alberta, Canada, proving that determination can overcome even the toughest obstacles.
Because of my experiences, I understand mental health struggles firsthand. I know what it's like to battle self-doubt, setbacks, loneliness, and the feeling of not belonging. That’s why I use my truck, my story, and my platform to support mental health awareness and encourage others to keep fighting. I remind everyone that no matter how difficult life gets, you are capable of more than you think.
Shadow isn't just a truck; it's proof that giving up isn't an option. As someone who was once told he would never drive, live on his own, or succeed, I built my dream truck, earned my Class 1 License, and created a platform that inspires others. You can overcome your challenges too.
